An Afternoon at the Park

Getting ready to go down the slide! This was really fun for Matthew...but hard to capture an action shot :-)

Matthew's first time in a swing...he was just chillin

This afternoon we went back to Bronte Creek Provincial Park. They have a 1.8 acre pool at the park so we thought it was time for Matthew's first swim. At first he seemed skeptical of the cool water, but that passed after a few seconds and he just loved it!! He had a big smile the entire time and was jabbering away. It is a nice pool b/c you wade into it so Matthew could wade and sit it in to play. We had a great time!

Matty was splashing away - my camera ran out of batteries before I could get some really good ones caught on camera...oh well, we'll be back again :-)

Mmmm...this delicious ring was made by Aunt Lauren...chicken, broccoli, peppers, and cheese - it was very tasty - thank you!

Matthew had just awakened from his nap and he thought he should wake up Dad and Riley...Dad does not seem to be moving, soooo...onto Riley!

I think Riley is awake now - it's a good thing Matty and Riley are such great pals!

Now back to waking Dad up...

Matthew can climb one stair quite easily, but gets a bit scared when he tries to go higher...unless Dad is spotting him.

Sippy Cup

We are starting to get the hang of the sippy cup...it is a bit messy and I'm not sure how much actually gets in the belly at this point, but we're working on it :-)
