Hennigar's Farm Market

Stop number 2 - Hennigars! After picking up some apples we visited the farm animals and stopped for a quick family photo :-)

The Look-Off

Today we did a quick tour of some of our favorite places in the Valley - first stop, the look-off! It was a gorgeous fall day and the leaves were so vibrant! Matthew fell asleep on the drive from Cathy and Sean's to the look-off so he stayed in the car with Nan while the rest of us enjoyed the view!

What a view!

Cousins!

When we were home this weekend for Gram and Gramp's 60th anniversary Matthew had a chance to play with his cousins. They raked a big pile of leaves and all took turns having Chad throw them in either head, feet, or bum first. When they were all done, Matthew joined in the fun with his cousins! They had a great time :-)

Kelso Conservation Area

Today we went to Kelso Conservation Area - another park in the Milton area. You can ski here in the winter and this weekend they were offering chair lift rides to check out the fall view. For some reason dogs and 13 month olds aren't allowed on the chair lift...so we had to hike up for the view...did I mention that it was over 30 degrees today!! We did not dress appropriately! But it was a lovely view and worth the hike. I think it is my favorite Conservation Area so far - you can hike, rent various boats, picnic, and swim at the beach. Hopefully we'll come back and take advantage of all the activities!

Snack Time

Yesterday we made some progress in the self feeding journey... when I put the spoon in the yogurt Matthew picked it up and brought it to his mouth! We were so proud of him - even though he had a few mouth misses. He continued to "dip" and "lick" a few more times and then...
...he realized it would be much faster to use his hands!
Everyday Matthew sits in the King chair (to his right) with his snack dish and eats cheerios. Riley now knows what the snack bowl means and he promptly lays down beside Matty intent on cleaning up any droppings.

Looks like he found one!

Rattray Marsh Conservation Area

Today we continued our exploration of the Ontario Conservation Areas and visited Rattray Marsh, which is located in Mississauga. It's not near as big as the others we've been to, but it was still a nice walk on the boardwalk around the marsh.
