Now that I'm 7-Months Old...

I'm still not crawling even though I prop myself up all the time...but I really like to walk while holding mom's fingers. I play with lots of toys, but Riley is my favorite :-)

I love to eat - in fact, I always have - but lately I've been getting lots of good stuff! Sometimes I get distracted when I eat and play with my high chair buckle, my fingers, or I try to find Riley. Then I get food all over my face, up my nose, in and behind my ears, in my eyebrows, all through my hair, and all over my clothes. I hate it when mom has to wash my face. I really LOVE dessert - notice how almost all the food splatters are sweet potatoe chicken casserloe - I don't mess around when it's dessert time (just a few drips on the chin) - mmm, mmm good!

The Ontario Science Centre

It was rainy out when we left so on went the raincoat - looks like a new generation of firemen has begun!

This was the last weekend for the Marvel Comic Book exhibit...it was pretty good, but too crowded to really enjoy it...plus, a bunch of kids kept butting in front of Lauren and I to try the activity stations...

The Smith's in infra-red! My nose and hands always show up black in these things...I guess I need better circulation...

Crop Night!

Last night Lauren and I went to Friday Evening Crop Night at a local scrapbook store. It is very handy to work on pages in a store where you can buy all the supplies you could possibly need! I am trying to finish the Smith Family 2006 Yearbook and am getting close...just a few more family pictures to go. I am still very much an amateur cropper, but it is such a great way to preserve memories! I recently completed a Riley page and a Nan and Grampy Barker page. Here they are!

Back story: the first hour or so of every morning is Daddy time!! Somehow a teething ring managed to get into Matty's sleeper during the first morning change and was not discovered until some time later...

The culprit is identified - how do you suppose it got in the sleeper?? :-)

Weekend Happenings

Matty's First Visitor

Today Matty and I had our first visitor in Mississauga - cousin Correen! She came just in time for a bottle and butternut squash...mmm...Matty didn't quite know what to do with the cheerio though

Happy Birthday Nan!

My mom and I made a card for Nan, who is still back in NS, for her birthday. I just can't seem to stop playing with it so that mom can take a picture of me holding it. Then mom's camera batteries went dead so she couldn't post this message on Nan's real birthday, which was yesterday. Anyways, Happy Birthday Nan - Love, Matty :-)

Missing Bear Spotted

A bear, reported missing from 100 acre woods, was recently spotted in the Mississauga area.

Please keep all milk, sweet potatoes, and chicken secured in your home. He was most recently spotted with a companion - a large golden retriever. Both are considered to be silly and mischievous.
