Vancouver Get-A-Way!

The view from our hotel room, overlooking the city - what a view!
Our first tourist stop was the aquarium. We saw sharks, dolphins, belugas, lots of fish, an anaconda, alligators, and this gigantor sea lion!

A must do was to dip my toes in the water on the west coast. Chad just dipped his sneaker - what a whimp!

Capilano Suspension Bridge - located very high above a river just outside of the city. I was very nervous about my ability to cross the bridge without having to turn back...but I did it! This is a great spot to go - even though it was raining the whole time we were there, we really enjoyed it!

It was no sweat for Chad to cross the bridge :-)

I, on the other hand, crossed much more slowly and carefully - esp on the way over. On the way back, I was much more relaxed having survived the tree tops adventure (below).

The treetops adventure is a series of bridges going from tree to tree - way up in the air!

In the tree tops! This was a huge douglas fir!

Me with the totem poles.

One little indian is different than the rest...can you tell which one?

On to Grouse Mountain! This is the view from the top looking over part of the city and Stanley Park. We loved Stanley Park and would have spent more time walking through it if it hadn't been raining!

Us on the observation deck at the top :-)
